Svete Barbare 20 Zaostrog Hrvatska Zaostrog, a place with 372  residents, has more than half a  millennium old Franciscan  monastery with a high bell tower.  Museum, ethnological collection,  gallery and a large library with over  30,000 titles, a substantial part of  collection is of the older Croatian  literature, are open for the visitors.  Perhaps the most prominent  Croatian folk poet, Andrija Kačić  Miošić, spent a part of his creative  life there.
